Penelope (Penny) Byrnes has been a Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner since 2002 and a Registered Nurse for 30 years.
Penny is a graduate of the University of Florida Post Masters' Nurse Practitioner Program and joined Family Care Partners in 2003. She received her Bachelors degree from the University of North Florida in 1986 and her Masters' Degree from the University of Phoenix in 2000. She was selected for recognition on the Dean's List by her undergraduate and graduate universities.
As a former U.S. Army Reserve Nurse Corp Captain, Penny served on active duty with the U.S. Army as an emergency nurse during the first Gulf War. She received 3 Army Achievement Medals for her service. Additionally, she served as a Navy wife until her husband's retirement in 1988.
Penny is a mother of 2 and grandmother of 5, and enjoys gardening, reading and sewing. Professionally, she is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American Nurses Association and the Florida Nurses Association.
