Paulino Milla, M.D.
Arlington
Pediatrics
Born and raised in San Salvador, El Salvador, Dr. Milla (pronounced Mia) received his graduate and undergraduate education at the University of El Salvador, where he obtained his Doctor in Medicine degree in 1984. After completing in 1990 his residency training at Cook County Children's Hospital in Chicago, IL, he went on to practice his specialty for 18 years in Gainesville, FL as a Fellow Member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and Florida Pediatric Society. From there, he came to join Family Care Partners in February 2009.
As a Board-Certified Pediatric Physician, Dr Milla "believes in having fun throughout the day with his young patients while providing them with kind and compassionate care". He is a big believer in the role faith plays as an integral part of healthcare, and is personally committed to proper nutrition, weight and cardiovascular training. He also believes in the important role that alternative medicine plays in treating the whole person, physically and emotionally.
The highest point of Dr. Milla's career came during a medical mission he undertook during a 1998 trip to Bosnia, in former Yugoslavia, just after its devastating civil war, where he was able to make a big difference in people's lives providing much needed health care to many children and their adult relatives as well.
Happily married for 24 years, he has a son in pre-med school at UF in Gainesville; a daughter here in Jacksonville entering the Florida State College for pre-vet education; and a youngest son attending Douglas Anderson School of the Arts.
Dr. Milla's interests outside of medicine include reading, traveling, the beach life, and attending jazz concerts and theater plays. He also enjoys spending quality time with his wife and three children.
