Gary L. Leffelman ARNP has been in practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 1994. He joined the Arlington Family Care Partner group in May 2005 after serving in the United States Navy for 26 years.
Gary received an Associated Degree in Applied Sciences (Registered Nurse Degree) and an Associated Degree in Sciences from the College of Lake County, Grayslake, IL in 1980 and 1981, respectfully. Gary continued his education at Northeast Illinois University, DeKalb, IL receiving a Baccalaureate Degree with a Nursing major in 1982.
While serving in the United States Navy, Leffelman was selected to complete his master's in nursing at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, NC receiving his master's degree in Primary Care (Family Nurse Practitioner) and Nursing Management in 1994.
Gary is active in the American Nurses Association and the Florida Nurses Association, as well as the local Northeast Florida Nurse Practitioner group.
Priding himself on patient education, Gary often spends extra time with patients ensuring not only quality care, but additionally with handouts and spending extra time explaining the diagnosis, treatment and measures to ensure compliance and prevent recurrences of illness.
In his free time he enjoys dining out, good conversation, traveling, antiquing and landscaping.
