Volunteer this Year!

Family Care Partners promotes volunteering in the community! Many of our team members at FCP actively volunteer around Jacksonville. This year Disney is promoting volunteerism with “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day”! Every person 6 years of age or older who completes a day of volunteer service will receive a free one-day admission ticket to Walt Disney World or Disneyland theme parks. In order to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity, you must go to www.DisneyParks.com to sign up. You must pre-register and sign up for eligible Jacksonville volunteer opportunitites. Many FCP employees are already set to volunteer through this program, come join us!

In the tradition of the New Year, many set resolutions to make themselves better. Family Care Partners of Jacksonville would like to help you set a realistic New Year’s Resolution for 2010!

When setting a resolution, make it simple so you will stick to it! Think about a resolution as a goal or objective for the new year. Be realistic in setting your resolution.

Describe your resolution in specific terms, for example: I will lose weight by going to the gym daily and eating smaller portions.

Break down large goals into small ones like changing lose weight into resolve to go to the gym, improve eating habits.

Find alternatives to a behavior you want to change. If you smoke to relax, find something else to help you relax.

Aim for the goals that are truly important to you, not what you think you ought to do, or what others expect of you!
